What to Expect
Just about 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur and only 40 minutes from Kuantan’s airport, take on an incredible 1.5 hour journey with nature on a lovely river cruise in Cherating, Pahang. As you hop on the boat and be briefed on the cruise’s safety rules, you shall coast down the Cherating River that is surrounded by the dense tropical mangroves. Along the cruise, you shall encounter and witness nature’s wildlife in its most natural state, and undisturbed. Drift down the tree-lined waterway and spot out the wild plants, crabs, kingfishers, monitor lizards, snakes, birds and monkeys that are all native to Malaysia. Learn about the importance of mangrove conservation in preventing erosion and preserving this coastal region of Malaysia.
