What to Expect
Pulau Dayang Bunting According to legend, women who cannot conceive merely need to sip the water or to swim in the lake and be gifted with a child. You will see from far away why the island is called Pregnant Maiden Island—a straight translation of its Malay name. Hills and trees form the unacceptable shape of a pregnant lady resting on her back. The beautiful Tasik Dayang Bunting lake on the island is surrounded by verdant, tropical foliage. You’ll find yourself diving into its refreshingly clean waters. Pulau Singa Besar This island is a wildlife reserve that houses, for example, adults and monks, lizards, pavilions, mousedeers and even hornbills. While translated as “Big Lion Island,” no lions are in sight. Pulau Singa Besar is not developed hence it does not have basic utilities or accommodation to preserve its pristine nature. Some wooden paths and signposted jungle paths are made for walking around the jungle while the quiet beaches are perfect for swimming and picnic. An expert nature guide can organise a one-day tour and local authorities will be permitted to camp overnight. Pulau Beras Basah In its translations to ‘Wet Rice Island,’ Pulau Beras Basah allegedly gives its guests clean, quiet, shallow sea and white sandy beautiful beaches thanks to the texture of its fine sand. After touring neighbouring islands and a family day out, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Lie by the beach and sunbathe, or rest in the shady trees — on this gorgeous island you have the choice! One shop offers premium pricing food and drinks. If you want to save money, be prepared with your own materials. There are no change and restroom facilities on the island, so be careful when you visit Pulau Beras Basah. Bento Lunch Menu Starter: Fresh Salad Dressings: Homemade Thousand Islands Main Dish: Chinese Fried rice & Avante Chicken Paprik Dessert: Fresh fruits & Slice cake
